Back in high school, I took an AP art class. It was challenging, sure, but everyone enjoyed themselves. And I didn’t even have to take a final exam! It was great, all I had to do was submit my art portfolio for review.
And now the shoe is on the other foot, because I’m the one reviewing the portfolio this time around.
This is Color Club Portfolio. It has a purple base and a duochrome shimmer that shifts between green and pink, depending on the way the light hits it.
The shimmer on my nails was a little bit camera shy, it’s much more like it appears in the bottle when it’s in front of your eyes. The pink is a little bit subtle, just because of how closely it resembles the base color, but the green is almost explosive.
Two thin coats gave me complete coverage, and application was easy. The formula on this seems pretty good—this is the only Color Club polish I’ve used thus far, but Portfolio has me feeling pretty optimistic.
For now, though, I have a vitally important question—does the bottle in this picture make anyone else think of Maleficent?
